Wildfires continue to devastate Southern California, scorching tens of thousands of acres. While firefighters have made progress, the flames remain only partially contained.

Approximately 8,000 personnel from local, state, federal, and out-of-state agencies are working to contain the fires, according to California Governor Gavin Newsom.

The Forecast
While wind speeds have eased somewhat, they remain a concern, ranging between 20 to 60 miles per hour through Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
